Product overview
Urology Diode Laser System 980nm & 1470nm. GIGAALASER, after developing the HPLAS 980nm, combines the two parallel working wavelengths of 980nm and 1470nm to introduce a new product HPLASⅡ for urology. HPLASⅡ operates dual wavelengths of 980nm and 1470nm running in parallel with the maximum output of 200W, achieving optimal absorption in water and hemoglobin which results in a high ablation rate combined with strong hemostatic (blood-staunching) effect.

Clinical benefits
The Dual laser may enable ejaculation-sparing internal prostate treatment and is claimed to reduce retrograde ejaculation risk. Excellent hemostatic profile results in virtually no blood loss during or after the procedure. Internal tissue is spared, patients experience relief from urinary urgency and restored urine flow following treatment.

Principle of treatment
The treatment commences by inserting a cystoscope containing the BPH probe through the urethra. The head of the bare fiber is pushed out of the probe and the dual laser (980nm + 1470nm) is discharged from the probe head. The operator steers the probe, rotating it to ablate tissue in a circular motion. The funnel grows larger step by step and the BPH probe is withdrawn from the prostate at the end, restoring free urine flow.
