Description

Overview
The LAP-5® family comprises monopolar disposable endoscopic instruments designed for minimally invasive surgical procedures across multiple specialties. Development and manufacture focus on surgeon ergonomics, intraoperative functionality and traceable sterile single-use delivery.

  • Broad range of newly designed monopolar instruments for laparoscopy and other minimally invasive procedures.
  • Single-hand operation with a patented pinky-finger operated ratchet to maintain ergonomic finger positions during rotation and manipulation.
  • Sharp scissors with integrated coagulation capability for efficient cutting and haemostasis.
  • Multiple grasper/forceps variants with switchable ratchets to match tissue handling requirements.
  • Narrow dissector jaws with a wide opening angle for effective tissue separation.
  • Standard 4 mm HF connector provided for electrosurgical coagulation; rotating HF connector included to avoid cable tangling.
  • Delivered sterile and intended for single use.
  • Model family name reflects five-finger ergonomic control concept.

CONVENIENCE
  • Patented pinky-operated ratchet frees index fingers to control instrument rotation, simplifying single-hand use.
  • Colour-coding and clear external identification reduce instrument selection time in the operating room.

SAFETY
  • Components use high-grade materials comparable to reusable instruments to ensure durability and reliable performance throughout a procedure.
  • Additional safety systems in HF connectors reduce risk of electrical disruptions and accidental disconnection.
  • Rotating HF connector maintains secure electrosurgical connection while enabling flexible instrument positioning.

ECO-friendly approach
  • CLICK assembly without glue or chemical adhesives facilitates safer disposal and reduces environmental contaminants in hospital waste.
  • Simplified assembly reduces manufacturing time and resource consumption, lowering CO2 footprint.

Available instrument types and variants
