Description

Overview
The OB100 is a compact, energy-efficient plastic compactor designed to reduce the volume of plastic bottles, containers and other recyclable materials. Its form factor and electrical specification make it suitable for installations with limited space and for repeated use where optimized waste management is required.

Key benefits
  • Reduces plastic waste volume by up to 70%, increasing container capacity and reducing emptying frequency.
  • Lowers disposal costs and CO₂ emissions by compacting waste at source, reducing transport volume.
  • Energy-efficient operation with short, optimized cycles compatible with onboard and facility electrical systems.
  • Quiet operation (approx. 40 dB), suitable for noise-sensitive environments.

Compaction cycle
  • Place a suitable plastic bag inside the compactor before starting the cycle.
  • To add waste or remove a full bag, lift the handle slightly until the first click (partial opening) to trigger the automatic descent of the base; the Down LED shows descent status.
  • When the Down LED turns off, fully lift the handle and open the lid to continue filling or to remove the bag.

Suitable waste types
  • Best results with non-biodegradable, deformable waste: plastic bottles (without caps), Tetra Pak, paper, cardboard and lightweight blister packs.
  • Also accepts moderately moist organic waste (e.g., wilted flowers, food scraps) and medium-rigidity items such as aluminium cans and semi-rigid plastic containers.
  • Not suitable for glass, rigid non-deformable materials, or liquids.

Applications
  • Designed for commercial, marine (yachts), domestic and professional environments requiring space-saving and hygiene improvements.
  • In medical and dental practices the unit reduces waste volume and supports hygienic handling while saving space.

Technical specifications
  • Model designation: OB100 (see documentation).
  • Dimensions: L 235 x W 440 x H 339 mm — compact footprint for galleys, technical compartments or under countertops.
  • Power: 12 V DC, max consumption 4 A — compatible with typical marine electrical systems.
  • Noise level: approx. 40 dB (ultra-quiet operation).
  • Materials: 316 stainless steel and high-strength plastics for corrosion resistance and durability.
  • Energy efficiency: short, optimized compaction cycles to minimize power use.
  • Maintenance: minimal — annual lubrication of drive chain and lead screws with standard gear oil; cleaning with a damp sponge and mild detergent; removable internal bin for deeper cleaning.
  • Compatible waste: non-rigid plastics (without caps), Tetra Pak, paper, cardboard, blister packs, some organic and medium-rigidity materials; exclude glass and liquids.
  • Operation notes: always use a plastic bag inside the unit and follow LED indicators during loading/unloading.
  • Documentation: user manual and technical data sheet (PDF) available.
