Description

Product name
Quickclean® Diatomite Hemostatic Granules

Structure and composition
Granular hemostatic product manufactured from diatomite using granulation, calcination and screening processes. The product is supplied sterile and intended for single use.

Indications
Indicated for external hemostasis of acute, non-chronic surface wounds (skin lacerations, abrasions, small surgical wounds) where topical particulate hemostat is appropriate.

Product performance
  • Appearance: white to off-white granules
  • Sterilization: sterilized by radiation
  • Formulation: diatomite-based granules designed to assist topical clot formation

Directions for use
  • Clean the wound of blood and foreign material.
  • Open the aluminum foil sachet immediately prior to use.
  • Apply an appropriate amount of granules directly onto the bleeding surface and press gently to assist clot formation; adjust quantity according to wound size.

Precautions
  • Single use only. Do not use if package is damaged or opened.
  • Dispose of used product as regulated medical waste.
  • Ensure removal of residual granules from the wound after hemostasis is achieved.
  • For uncontrolled severe bleeding or deep penetrating trauma, apply pressure dressing and seek immediate medical attention.
  • For external topical use only. Not for oral or internal administration.

Contraindications
  • Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment or known coagulation disorders.
  • Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to the product components.

Available in 5 g per sachet and 10 g per sachet.

Storage
Store at room temperature, in original sealed packaging, away from moisture.

Shelf life
