Description

The HI9142 is a rugged, portable, waterproof dissolved oxygen (DO) meter designed to provide reliable measurements under harsh environmental conditions. The meter features manual calibration and an auto-off function. The HI9142 is supplied complete with polarographic probe, PTFE membrane caps, electrolyte fill solution, protective shield, and rugged carrying case. Easily Replaceable Membrane Caps One or Two Point Calibration Waterproof The HI9142 is a durable, waterproof dissolved oxygen (DO) meter designed to provide reliable measurements under harsh environmental conditions. The meter features manual calibration at 100% and automatic calibration in zero oxygen solution. The HI9142 includes a polarographic probe with replaceable polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane caps and protective shield. The rugged, waterproof housing of the HI9142 solves many of the problems with frequent field use. Features at a Glance Replaceable Membrane Caps - The pretensioned polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membranes employ a screw cap design for simple filling of electrolyte and easy replacement on the probe. Polarographic Measuring System - The meter and probe use polarographic sensor technology based on the Ross and Clark polarographic measurement method. The probe is comprised of a platinum cathode and silver anode in an electrolyte solution held in place over the surfaces of the electrodes by a polymer membrane. An external voltage applied across the system establishes a current proportional to the concentration of dissolved oxygen.
