Description

Product overview
OSTEOPAL® plus is a low‑viscosity polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) bone cement designed for spinal surgery. It offers prolonged working times suitable for controlled vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty procedures, enabling effective augmentation and stabilization of vertebral bodies.

Key features
  • Intended for spinal surgery (vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty)
  • Prolonged working time to facilitate controlled injection
  • Low‑viscosity formulation for better flow into cancellous bone
  • High content of zirconium dioxide used as radiopacifier for improved image contrast
  • High visibility in X‑ray and other imaging modalities
  • Coloured with chlorophyll‑copper‑complex (E141) for visual identification

Indications
  • Augmentation and stabilization of vertebral bodies
  • Compression fractures of the vertebral body
  • Vertebral body tumours (metastases, myelomas)
  • Symptomatic vertebral haemangiomas

Note
Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty are procedures that stabilize the vertebral body; they do not treat the underlying disease (e.g., osteoporosis or tumour disease).
