The DFB series is the result of decades of experience in the histopathology field, which led to the design of an unconstrained and extremely flexible reduction station for histology, meeting the needs of both small laboratories and larger facilities. Used for cutting and reducing histology specimens, it prioritizes operator safety. Designed to minimize chemical risk when handling anatomical specimens using formalin. Equipped with an innovative patented ventilation system and built to guarantee maximum ergonomics for the operator, it is the most advanced reduction station available on the market today. The grossing station DFB800 provides the opportunity to customize a grossing station to fit a laboratory’s specific needs. Each pathology professional has their own workspace preferences, and each laboratory’s safety, ergonomic, and workflow requirements are different. For this reason, the operator can choose from a large range of features and accessories. The depth of 78cm guarantees easy handling together with comfortable leg space, allowing the operator to work comfortably when seated, with samples located on the large work surface. Ergonomics are enhanced by rounded edges and a removable back panel, where a large range of accessories can be placed. With no visible joints or silicon on the station, this grossing station is composed of a single metal sheet, allowing complete and seamless decontamination. Elevation is guaranteed by two electro-mechanical actuators, featuring millimeter adjustment. DFB800 is provided with dual-draft ventilation, a frontal air curtain (patent pending) which prevents fumes from escaping the station, and a new 4th level of ventilation, ensuring operator safety. High-efficiency recessed LED lights provide high color quality on illuminated surfaces, compliant with Reg. EN60598-1-CEI34.21 on photo-biological risk and with anti-glare/anti-reflection technology. The lights are adjustable/directional and dimmable. Handling for cleaning and maintenance is very easy thanks to 4 adjustable and lockable wheels. Easy access and control with a next-generation digital control panel, allowing control of the grossing station, downloading updates, and remote assistance. The optional imaging system enables the operator to create a detailed report of the work done, offering different approaches adaptable to each situation. Thanks to the touch screen and voice functions, the operator can: take pictures, record videos or voice notes, zoom in and out, use the dictation system to compile reports without using the keyboard, and insert notes, symbols, or measurements on the photos.
