OverviewThe lead-lined sliding door RX is designed for radiological environments and is suitable for aluminium and steel door frames. In the lead-shielded version the sliding door is supplied with the following components and protective features.
Construction and materialsThe door has a total thickness of 64 mm and is built from sandwich-type panels incorporating an internal lead sheet, 2 mm thick and 99.9% pure. The shutter cover is manufactured in three parts (head/jambs) from press-bent AISI 304 stainless steel sheet (1 mm thick) with an internal 2 mm thick lead sheet (99.9% purity). Corners are rounded with radius r ≥ 15 mm.
Shielding continuity and sealingThe continuity of the shielding system between the sash, panel and shielded wall is ensured by 80 mm overlaps between the sash and the panel and between the panel and the shielded wall. Shielded seals and contact surfaces are provided to prevent radiation leakage at joints.
ApplicationsIntended for radiography rooms, CT suites, dental clinics, veterinary clinics, laboratories and hospital areas where protection from ionising X‑ray radiation is required.
