The IITC tail cuffs are designed to detect mouse or rat tail cuff blood pressure via the tail photoelectrically. The photoelectric sensor, light source, and sensor are integrated into a single unit, which attaches to any IITC restrainer using nylon hand screws. All sensors are nonmagnetic and extremely sensitive in detecting pulses due to IITC’s advanced design and expertise in mouse and rat blood pressure measurements. Ambient temperature for readings starts at 30°C. The maximum temperature required for a test is typically 32°C for rats and 34°C for mice. Systolic readings are within five mmHg of Cannulation and Telemetry (validated).
