Product description
BedPower Maxi is an auxiliary motor unit fitted to bariatric hospital beds to reduce physical strain on healthcare staff. It comprises two engines mounted on either side of the bed, allowing propulsion and turning on the bed's own axis to support manoeuvring in clinical environments.

Design and operation
The driver is always oriented in the direction of travel to ensure clear visibility. The unit is installed beneath the bedframe to minimise increase in external dimensions and maintain access to elevators and narrow passages. The twin-drive configuration enables tight turning radii and stable forward movement.

User interface and controls
User interfaces are clear and intuitive. Driving functions are set via an accelerator box on the handlebar. Stepless speed and direction control is provided by an accelerator arm located underneath the accelerator box for precise control during transport.

Installation and compatibility
BedPower Maxi is designed for retrofitting to bariatric beds using available space under the bed. Prior assessment of bed model and floor clearance is recommended to ensure continued elevator compatibility and safe installation.
