OverviewVisual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) is a behavioral hearing test for infants and toddlers that supports diagnosis following newborn hearing screening. VRA and Conditioned Play Audiometry (CPA) are available using the Piano Plus VRA and Cello audiometers (Cello requires the VRA license to enable VRA functionality).
Piano Plus VRA- Supports up to three traditional reinforcers (toy cabinets) directly connected to the audiometer, up to three video reinforcements, or a combination of both.
- All reinforcements are controlled directly from the audiometer interface for streamlined testing.
Cello- Supports three LCD displays for images and animations managed by Maestro software, plus up to three animated toys connectable to Cello's rear panel.
- Reinforcements are controlled via Maestro software or the dedicated buttons on the Maestro Control Panel.
Clinical benefits and use cases- Enables standardized VRA and CPA protocols for reliable behavioral thresholds in infants and toddlers.
- Flexible reinforcement configurations to match clinical and patient needs (toys, video, or mixed setups).
- Centralized control reduces test complexity and improves workflow in pediatric audiology clinics and hospitals.
