Polyglycolic Acid
ALCASORB® sutures are synthetic absorbable sterile surgical sutures which are made of Polyglycolic Acid. The braided structure of the suture is coated. The coating material of the coated sutures consists of a mixture of Calcium Stearate and Polycaprolactone. In order to ease of operation ALCASORB® sutures are colored violet or undyed (natural, beige).
ALCASORB® sutures has been presented in USP 6/0 – USP 3 gauge sizes in a variety of lengths from 10 cm to 150cm, as non-needled or attached to stainless steel needles of varying types and sizes.
