UHMWPE TAPE SUTURES (ALCATER ST TAPE) Alcater ST Tape Sutures are synthetic nonabsorbable sterile surgical Sutures which are made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). Alcater ST Tape provides excellent strength, better abrasion resistance than polyester, better handling and knot security/ strength. Alcater ST Tape sutures offered in a tape configuration. Advantages: Abrasion resistance is higher than polyester. Round-to-flat structure; provides a smooth transition. With its flat surface of the tape structure, it helps to support and distribute the loads. Provides larger surface area fixation with its broad, flat, braided structure compared to traditional suture. Colored warp strands enhance the visibility. Available in many colors: solid black, blue, white, white & blue, blue & black. UHMWPE SUTURES (ALCATER ST) Alcater ST is a synthetic non-absorbable, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) suture offered in the strip configuration. Advantages: Abrasion resistance is higher than polyester. Round-to-flat structure provides an ultra-low profile and maximum strength. Available in many colors: solid black, blue, white, white & blue, white & black, white & blue & black, white & green. Inter-locking core technology is the technology that provides a strong core with all fibre configurations at the centre of the suture. In regards to this technology, the knot acts as a backbone by better tied and carrying the load. Provides excellent flex strength. E-braid structure provides better handling and knot strength. Provides good visibility with triaxial patterns and vibrant colors.
