OverviewTeleCockpit is a technological workstation with a proprietary integrated videoconferencing system for management of remote and Home Kit devices. It supports telerehabilitation, tele-monitoring, tele-consultation and streaming of diagnostic imaging, enabling the therapist to control the remote device while simultaneously viewing the patient and Home Kit activity for real-time interaction.
Key functions- Integrated secure and encrypted videoconferencing for remote clinical sessions.
- Remote device control: therapist can take control of the patient’s device to verify clinical data and adjust sessions in real time.
- Telerehabilitation workflows to reproduce in-person therapy sessions remotely with equivalent clinical procedures.
- Streaming of diagnostic imaging during remote sessions for clinical review.
- Smart virtual assistant included in the Home Kit to guide patients through prescribed exercises online and offline.
The control centerTeleCockpit acts as a control center able to connect in real time with any Khymeia device (including the Home Kit and VRRS Home Kit) worldwide, enabling therapist and patient to collaborate on the rehabilitation process with session equivalence to in-person therapy.
Modules and solutions (included/compatible modules descriptions)- Motor Skills. Covers all body segments and joints (including trunk, head and cervical). Large sensor dataset supports movement tracking including depth; exercises can be combined with other modules (e.g., EMG, Cognitive).
- Neuromotor Skills. Provides assessment tests and rehabilitation exercises with multiple scenarios for different pathologies, from simple non-distracting tasks to complex ecological reconstructions.
- Speech Therapy. Library of exercises organized by activity domain for naming and respiratory training. Supports K-Space sensor to enable patients with motor impairments to perform exercises without touch interaction.
- Facial. Uses facial recognition algorithms to deliver biofeedback exercises for peripheral and central facial paresis, malocclusion and bruxism, orofacial pain of muscular or neuropathic origin.
- Cognitive. Activities organized by cognitive domain: memory, praxis, spatial orientation, attention, logic and numerical skills for neurological conditions.
- Respiratory. Through associated devices supports respiratory rate monitoring, heart rate, ECG, pulse oximetry; spirometry evaluations; and control/feedback of respiratory phases (inhalation/exhalation).
Tele-monitoring and dataUsing sensors included in the VRRS Home Kit, the system records movements and exercises performed offline by the patient, enabling objective assessment and data-driven adjustments during subsequent sessions.
Use cases / Benefits- Enables remote rehabilitation sessions that mirror in-person therapy workflows.
- Allows real-time clinical verification and objective movement recording for progress tracking.
- Supports multidisciplinary rehabilitation domains (motor, neuromotor, speech, facial, cognitive, respiratory).
