Overview
Labotemp Salt Spray Test Chamber SSC-05 is a high-capacity corrosion test chamber for accelerated salt spray (fog) testing of metal parts, coated surfaces, automotive and marine components, electronic assemblies and industrial materials. The chamber offers a 1280 L test volume, operating ranges from ambient to +60°C and temperature stability suitable for tests to ASTM B117, ISO 9227 and MIL-STD-810.

Design & operation
The SSC-05 is built for laboratory and production use with a one-piece glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) chamber, quartz spray nozzles, a 31 L saturated-air barrel for air preheating, and a PID touchscreen controller for precise process control. An external 78 L salt solution tank with mixing, PT100 temperature sensing and an integrated fog collection system support long-duration tests. Pneumatic lid opening and an airtight pneumatic sealing system, plus emergency stop and dry-burn protection, improve safety and usability.
