The W3/062 is a WVTR (water vapor transmission rate) test system based on the cup method for precise measurement of films and sheet materials. It combines automated weighing, controlled temperature/humidity and data management for laboratory and production testing.
Product features- Cup‑method design: Gravimetric cup method for film and sheet WVTR measurements; high‑resolution weighing sensor (mass resolution 0.001 g) for sensitive detection.
- Supports both water (wet‑cup) and desiccant (dry‑cup) test methods.
- Wide‑range, high‑precision automatic temperature and humidity control to accommodate non‑standard test conditions.
- Standardized air velocity control to maintain a stable humidity differential across the specimen.
- Automatic reset before weighing and periodic weighing with gas‑cylinder lifting to reduce systematic errors.
- Fast‑access calibration ports for temperature and humidity; reference film or standard weight for quick calibration.
- High efficiency: Circular rack with 6 independent test dishes (6 specimens per run); expandable via satellite bases for up to 60 simultaneous tests.
- Intelligent: Windows‑based operating software with intuitive UI, multi‑format export, historical data search/compare/analyze/print and support for Lystem™ Lab Data Sharing System for centralized result management.
PrincipleUnder controlled test temperature a constant humidity difference is established between the two sides of the specimen. Water vapor permeates through the sample to the dry side; the system measures weight change of the test dish over time to calculate WVTR and related parameters.
