The C640 thickness tester is a high-precision mechanical-contact instrument for measuring the thickness of films, sheets, paper, corrugated board, textiles, non-wovens and rigid insulation materials. An optional auto-sampler enables successive multi-point measurement. Embedded Labthink operating software provides intelligent data processing, user management and secure storage.

Test principleThe pre-conditioned specimen is placed on a flat test plane. A pressure foot, parallel to the plane, descends under a defined pressure; the displacement sensor measures the distance between the upper and lower surfaces, giving the specimen thickness.
