Overview

• Coronary drug-coated balloon catheter designed to deliver paclitaxel to inhibit restenosis; indicated for in-stent restenosis, small vessel disease and bifurcation lesions.

Antiproliferative drug

• Drug: Paclitaxel — highly lipophilic with long half-life; drug loading: 3 µg/mm; drug loading matrix: urea for biocompatibility and controlled release; coating particle size 2–3 µm; in vivo release rate >90%.
