Description

Overview
  • Coronary drug-coated balloon catheter designed to deliver paclitaxel to inhibit restenosis; indicated for in-stent restenosis, small vessel disease and bifurcation lesions.

Structure and technical parameters
  • Effective catheter length: 135 cm
  • Compatible guidewire: 0.014''
  • Balloon type: semi-compliant; platinum markers at each balloon end
  • Delivery system: rapid-exchange balloon catheter with spiral-cut hypotube transition

Antiproliferative drug
  • Drug: Paclitaxel — highly lipophilic with long half-life; drug loading: 3 µg/mm; drug loading matrix: urea for biocompatibility and controlled release; coating particle size 2–3 µm; in vivo release rate >90%.

Product features
  • Urea-based coating enables effective paclitaxel release and improved biocompatibility
  • Improved PEBAX material reduces crossing profile and increases flexibility
  • Spiral-cut hypotube strengthens the transition section and optimizes deliverability
  • Semi-compliant balloon improves crossability and facilitates retraction
  • Efficient drug transfer: ~98% of paclitaxel reaches the lesion site before dilatation; ~90% released during dilatation
