It has a sharper, thinner blade that gives easy access to deep periodontal pockets. It is primarily used in posterior distal surfaces, molars and premolars. Mini Gracey curettes are known for their 3mm long terminal shank compared to standard Gracey curettes. Compared to the standard Gracey curette, the mini Gracey curettes blade shank is 50% shorter and 10% thinner. Mini Gracey curettes are good for scaling in deep, narrow pockets.
