What is the M-420W? The Marsden M-420W is a lightweight, portable adult floor scale widely used by health visitors, school nurses and GP surgeries. It has Bluetooth connectivity for sending patient weight data instantly to a central database. This scale is accurate to 50g. How do wireless scales work? Marsden wireless scales are fitted with a Bluetooth module. When a patient stands on the scale, the weight reading, once stabilised, will transmit from the scale to another device. Currently, Marsden does not provide software for receiving data from wireless scales, however in cases where our customers have purchased wireless scales the software generally works in the same way. The software is set up to receive the data from the scale instantly as soon as the weight reading stabilises on the display, and populates the record for that patient. In some cases the software will automatically calculate BMI if the patient’s height is inputted; otherwise, this information can be sent from the scale. If the date and time is set up on the scale, this will be sent via Bluetooth. Wifi connectivity is also available - please contact us for more information if you wish to choose this option.
