Product overview
During the design phase Supertack was created as a fixation tack that is easy to place in any type of bone and capable of securely immobilizing membranes used in GBR, both resorbable and non-resorbable, as well as meshes. The tack features a 2.5 mm diameter head and a tapered shaft that allows quick and easy removal. The blue anodized coloring improves visibility under soft tissue during removal. Supertack tacks are cleaned with plasma and packaged sterile in a cleanroom; they are supplied in sterile packs in a limited number of pieces to reduce waste.

Sterile tacks
Supertack tacks are packaged sterile in a cleanroom and supplied in sterile packs with a limited number of pieces to avoid waste.

Surface treatment and finishing
Surface cleaning by plasma removes surface residues and prevents contamination from airborne dust and microorganisms. Supertack tacks undergo anodization with cobalt blue and gold finishes; these colorations enhance visibility under soft tissues and facilitate removal. The anodization produces a controlled titanium oxide layer without the use of dyes.

Material and standards
The tacks are made from TiGr5 titanium certified to ASTM F136, a standard confirming suitability for implantable medical devices. Titanium oxide formed by anodization is biocompatible and non toxic.

Fixation of membranes and grids in guided bone regeneration (GBR); designed to be easy to place and to allow secure immobilization and straightforward removal after the bone regeneration period.
