Descensus uteri or Descensus vaginae is the falling of the womb or the vagina caused by weakened muscles and ligaments of the pelvic floor. This can occur during menopause or be a result of a complicated birth as well as weakness of the connective tissue, muscle weakness or overweight. Severe prolapse can cause ailments such as heaviness or pulling in the pelvis, back pain, urinary difficulties or trouble having a bowel movement. The soft medical silicone makes it easily foldable and therefore simplifies insertion and removal. Just like the Ring Pessary, the Sieve Cup Pessary EF can easily be placed in the right position.
