The Sprinter Over-the-Wire Semicompliant Balloon Dilation Catheter uses a low tip profile and a strong rewrap design to make it sized properly so it can fit into a patient's narrowed artery as needed regardless of the problem in the area. This may be inserted into the artery during a coronary angioplasty or PCI procedure to expand an artery's size. The material will move through and pressure from a liquid to inflate the device will allow the plaque in the artery to move to the sides of the artery so it will widen out. A stent may be added after the balloon angioplasty procedure. Also, a fluoroscopy or IVUS procedure can be used after the stent is added to see that everything has expanded as necessary.
The Sprinter™ over-the-wire (OTW) semicompliant balloon dilatation catheter is available in a broad size matrix.
