Overview
Mercado office chair. The evolution of ergonomics for users. For over 50 years Mercado Medic has designed chairs and tables for people with reduced mobility. This knowledge has been transferred to ergonomic office chairs to provide seating comfort, pelvic stability and individual adjustability at the workplace. Manufactured in Sweden. Introduced April 2023: the Mercado Pro 100 and Mercado Pro 200 models.

Product concept and seating systems
In close collaboration with physiotherapist Bengt Engström, the ErgoMedic and ErgoMedic PLUS seating systems were developed. Seat and backrest shapes provide more room for the pelvis, optimized seat depth, pelvic stabilization and even pressure distribution through the seat cushion. Multiple seat heights and options for armrests, back and seat cushions are available.

Mercado Pro 100
The ErgoMedic seating system. Target users: those seeking high adjustability and precise seating support. Designed to optimise posture at the desk with various seat height and cushion/armrest configuration options.

Mercado Pro 200
The ErgoMedic PLUS seating system. Intended for the most advanced ergonomic workplace: contoured seat and backrest shapes for enhanced stability and comfort. Extensive adjustment options including headrest and multiple back cushion variants.

Details / Adjustments

• Seat height adjustment by gas spring: low range 37–46.5 cm to underside of seat cushion (approx. 42–51.5 cm to top edge of seat cushion); high range 39–52 cm to underside of seat cushion (approx. 44–57 cm to top edge of seat cushion).
• Maximum user weight: 130 kg.
• Seat widths available: 40, 44 or 48 cm (other sizes on request).
• Seat depths available: 43, 48 or 53 cm (other sizes on request).
• Back cushions Pro 100: 40 x 34 cm or 42 x 43 cm (selectable).
• Back cushions Pro 200: 35 x 43 cm, 42 x 43 cm, 46 x 43 cm in several versions: ErgoMedic PLUS; ErgoMedic PLUS with deep lateral support; ErgoMedic PLUS with inflatable lumbar cushion; ErgoMedic PLUS without upper back support. Other sizes on request.

Additional features
Adjustable ergonomic office chair developed to help prevent complaints in the neck, shoulders and back. Configurable with headrest and a range of upholstery and support options.
