Overview
MetaMedicsVR CNA is training software for nursing assistant (CNA) programs that covers the two things your students have to get right: the hands-on skills on the state checklist, practiced in immersive VR, and the conversations with residents, practiced out loud with AI patients. Instructors set the scenarios, students repeat each one until they have it right, and every attempt is scored step by step, so you can see who is ready for the skills test, not just who finished the module.

VR skills training
Each skill is guided step by step, timed and repeated as many times as a student needs. A sample of what students practice:

• Vital signs: radial pulse and respirations
• Bed-to-wheelchair transfer with a gait belt
• Positioning and repositioning: side-lying, pillow support
• Range of motion: shoulder, knee and ankle
• Feeding a dependent resident: upright positioning, safe pacing
• PPE donning and removal, infection control

The full library follows the complete CNA skills checklist, including catheter care, perineal care, foot care, mouth and denture care, modified bed bath, dressing an affected side, anti-embolic stockings, bedpan and output measurement, and hand hygiene.

AI conversation practice
Web-based, on any device, with no extra hardware. Students talk to AI patients and residents as many times as they need, and instructors can build their own cases without technical knowledge. Typical topics:

• Patient communication and consent
• Dementia, confusion and distress
• End-of-life conversations
• Recognizing changes in condition
• Documentation and handover

See competency, not completion
When a student finishes a simulation, the platform shows which steps they completed, in what order, how long it took and where they slipped. Instructors get the same record for every student:

• Step-by-step competency on every attempt, not just pass or fail
• Progress tracked across each required skill
