Used for urinary tract and renal stone extraction, they are available in 1.9 Fr with an 8mm or 11mm opening to extract smaller or larger stones. Thanks to the tipless basket, they reach stones that might be tough to reach with the tip of the endoscope itself. Also, they are the most common style of stone extraction basket because of the atraumatic tip and frontal opening. They interfere less in the ureteroscope deflection, and offer better endoscopic image due to better saline inflow.
