Overview
Mepiform Sterile is a sterile, self‑adherent soft‑silicone film dressing intended for scar management. The contact layer uses Safetac® soft silicone adhesive to minimise pain and skin trauma during removal. The laminated film is breathable and shower‑proof, allowing discreet, long‑term application.

Composition

• Two‑layer film: soft silicone gel contact layer + protective laminate (polyurethane film + viscose adhesive nonwoven)
• Dressing materials: polyacrylate, polyurethane, silicone, viscose

Indications / How the product works
Mepiform is indicated for prevention and management of hypertrophic and keloid scars on healed wounds. The silicone contact layer applies gentle, uniform pressure and maintains a hydrated microenvironment to support scar modulation. It can be used prophylactically on closed surgical wounds after suture removal.

Precautions

• Do not use on patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the dressing.
• If maceration, persistent redness or rash occurs, remove the dressing and allow the skin to recover; resume treatment gradually. If symptoms persist, discontinue use and consult a physician.
• Sterile single‑use product: do not use if sterile barrier is damaged or opened prior to use. Do not re‑sterilise.
