Overview
Mesorb® is indicated for moderately to highly exuding wounds. It can be used as a primary dressing (directly on the wound) or as a secondary dressing where high absorbency is required. The dressing features a cellulose pulp absorbent core, a polypropylene nonwoven wound contact layer and a fluid-repellent nonwoven backing to reduce strike-through and external contamination.

How the product works

• Mesorb® may be applied by lay persons under supervision of health care professionals.
• Application steps: 1. Clean the wound if needed and dry surrounding skin. 2. Apply Mesorb® with the white side to the wound and the blue backing facing up; allow at least 1 cm overlap onto surrounding skin. 3. Secure with a suitable fixation device. 4. Can be used under compression bandages.

Frequency of change
Change dressing according to the clinical condition of the wound or before saturation. Maximum wear time for a single dressing is 7 days. If wound condition deteriorates, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Precautions

• Do not use on patients or users with known hypersensitivity to any product components.
• Do not reuse — reuse may reduce performance and risk cross-contamination.
• Sterile single-use dressing. Do not use if sterile barrier is damaged or opened prior to use. Do not re-sterilise.
• Do not use after expiry date.
