Mepilex Border Post-Op is a sterile, self‑adherent post‑operative surgical dressing featuring a Safetac® soft silicone wound contact layer. It absorbs blood exudate, protects the incision with a waterproof outer layer and is designed to minimise maceration and reduce trauma and pain at dressing removal.

How the product works / Instructions (summary)

• Can be applied by lay persons under supervision of healthcare professionals.
• 1. Cleanse wound and surrounding skin according to clinical practice.
• 2. Dry surrounding skin thoroughly.
• 3. Choose a size that overlaps the wound by at least 1–2 cm.
• 4. Remove release film(s) as applicable and apply the adhesive side to the wound; smooth to avoid wrinkles. Do not stretch the dressing.
• 5. Use the application frame where provided; tear along the perforation and remove the frame after initial fixation.
• 6. Leave in place up to 14 days or as indicated by clinical practice; dispose according to local procedures.
