Description

Overview
The moorLAB-HEAT Skin Heat Controller provides precise, localised skin heating for research and educational life-science applications. Designed for integration with laser Doppler monitors, imaging systems and tissue oxygenation monitors, the unit supports reproducible heating protocols for blood-flow and oxygen-response assessments.

Advantages
  • Independent dual-channel heating and monitoring for two simultaneous measurement sites
  • Programmable temperature/time protocols for repeatable stimuli
  • Direct integration with Doppler blood-flow and tissue-oxygenation instrumentation
  • Controlled heating rates with high temperature resolution (0.1°C)

Key features
  • Localised skin temperature control — operational heating range up to 47°C
  • Temperature resolution 0.1°C; accuracy typically ±0.5°C
  • Analogue outputs: 2 × 0–5 V (BNC)
  • Continuous operation mode with two measurement channels
  • AC mains: 100–230 V ±10%, 50–60 Hz, 30 VA

Operational notes
  • Can operate stand-alone or be remotely controlled by moorVMS-PC to program temperature/time protocols
  • Both channels may be set to different temperatures; system also functions with a single probe connected
  • Heating probes are supplied calibrated — no user calibration required; annual factory servicing recommended
  • Compatible with iontophoresis when using appropriate probes/chambers
  • Warranty: 3 years for main unit; heating probes typically covered for 6 months
