Rapid Salmonella typhi IgG/IgM Combo Test Card is used for the qualitative detection of Salmonella typhi antibodies in human whole blood, serum or plasma. The test is intended to aid in the rapid diagnosis of S. typhi infection, responsible for typhoid fever. One-step procedure For professional use Product Description Rapid Salmonella typhi IgG/IgM Combo Test Card is an immunochromatographic membrane assay. It is designed for the rapid qualitative determination of IgG and IgM antibodies to Salmonella typhi in human serum, plasma, or whole blood. The S.typhi antigens-colloidal gold conjugated combine with specific antibodies (IgG and/or IgM) of S.typhi, if present in the sample. These complexes move to the test regions by capillarity and are captured by anti-S. typhi IgG and/or IgM antibodies pre-immobilized in the membrane, leading to the formation of colored band and indicating a positive test result. The whole strip is fixed inside a plastic device. This test is only to be used by healthcare professionals. It cannot be used alone as the basis for the diagnosis and exclusion of cases.
