Description

Skin friendly NeoBond® Hydrocolloid base Fold over flap designed to relieve stress on tubes and help prevent dislodgement Unique shape allows for protruding umbilical stump Flap designed to be opened and closed repeatedly Clear flap allows for better visibility Not made with natural rubber latex or plasticizer DEHP Keep tubing and catheters safe and secure with Neotech’s innovative Hold-A-Line. Made with a gentle NeoBond Hydrocolloid base, this product is skin friendly and ideal for infants with sensitive skin. With its secure fold-over flap, Hold-A-Line keeps tubing in place while relieving pressure on catheters. The unique U-shape means less irritation for protruding umbilical stumps, and the holder can open and close repeatedly. With its clear flap, Hold-A-Line also allows for continued visibility of tubing. Preparation After catheter or tube is in place, clean and dry skin per hospital protocol. Note: It is important for skin to be as clean and dry as possible. Hold-A-Line will not adhere properly to moist skin or hair. Oils and lotions will also adversely affect adhesion. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL. Application Step 1 Before removing plastic liner, hydrocolloid adhesive must be actively warmed. Warming techniques include: hold between the palms of your hands for at least 60 seconds, hold near a radiant warmer for 10-15 seconds, or hold against a chemical heel warmer for 10-15 seconds. Step 2 Discard white, paper liner, then peel and discard clear, plastic liner from hydrocolloid base. Step 3 Apply base to skin and hold in place for 60 seconds to ensure proper adhesion. Step 4 Peel and discard frosted liner and adhere catheter or tube to base.
