Product overviewVitalTrack EEG is an eight-channel EEG acquisition and monitoring solution for real‑time recording and visualization. The system provides raw channel waveforms, per‑band (Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, Gamma) band‑power calculations alongside raw signals, scalp topography rendering and export of session data. The product is planned for release in 2026.
Key confirmed capabilities- Eight simultaneous EEG channels for acquisition and live display.
- Per‑band power (Delta–Gamma) computed in parallel with raw signals.
- Session CSV export (session CSV format confirmed) and high‑resolution PNG export for scalp topography.
Hardware / Board viewThe product includes a VitalTrack EEG development board shown in front/hardware layout views. The board is intended for integration with the VitalTrack application to manage device connection, channel mapping and live measurement.
Measurement setup- Discover and connect a nearby VitalTrack EEG device using the application; verify connection status, reported channel count and incoming data.
- Map eight channels to electrode sites using the international 10–20 placement (Fp1, Fp2, C3, C4, P3, P4, O1, O2).
- Confirm mappings and proceed to live acquisition.
Synthetic / Demo data and saved outputs- Preview scalp distribution, channel‑by‑frequency PSD heatmap and publication‑ready PNG using synthetic/demo data without connecting a device.
- Select Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta or Gamma bands for distribution views.
- Apply a stable automatic color scale and toggle electrode labels on or off.
- Save a 2400×2400 PNG with matching JSON metadata describing analysis conditions.
Live monitoring- View all eight waveforms in real time with receive rate, elapsed time and data status indicators.
- Adjust time window, amplitude scale, visible channels and display filters to match the measurement environment.
EEG analysis featuresThe application displays raw EEG concurrently with per‑band power (Delta–Gamma). Raw data remain available for external re‑analysis. Features include channel band‑power comparison, scalp topography and PSD heatmaps for channel‑by‑frequency inspection.
EEG bands (range and notes)- Delta — 0.5–4 Hz: predominant during deep sleep.
- Theta — 4–8 Hz: increases with drowsiness and memory tasks.
- Alpha — 8–13 Hz: prominent at rest with eyes closed.
- Beta — 13–30 Hz: rises with focused alertness.
- Gamma — 30–45 Hz: appears when multiple regions are active concurrently.
Data export and file contents- Raw signal: one column per channel (eight columns) with pre‑filter values in µV.
- Per‑band strength: viewable in‑app as relative percentages or absolute values (session CSV verified does not include band‑power columns).
- Session CSV: records UTC time, elapsed time, device sample index, eight raw‑channel µV values and an event‑marker column suitable for Excel, Python or MATLAB.
- Saved outputs: high‑resolution PNG (2400×2400) plus matching JSON metadata saved to the user's Documents folder (example Windows paths provided in documentation).
AvailabilityPlanned for release in 2026. Confirmed features include channels, per‑band power and CSV export. Additional hardware specifications (sampling rate, battery life) are pending and will be published when available.
