Forearm and hand stabilization orthosis – NOVAHAND

The NOVAHAND orthosis from the NOVATHANE range by NOVATEX MEDICAL is a single-patient use medical device, specifically designed for the stabilization and resting of the forearm and hand.

Clinical Indications:

It is ideal for treating numerous rheumatological and neurological conditions (contractures, osteoarthritis, polyarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.), and is also perfectly suited for pathologies such as Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD). It combines the flexibility of an elastic textile with a personalized semi-rigid molding performed by a healthcare professional.

• Custom morphological fit: The pouring of a semi-rigid thermosetting resin directly into the orthosis by the healthcare professional allows it to set in the most suitable position for the patient's anatomy and needs.
• Comfort and elasticity: Made from a soft fabric that is elastic in all directions, it features a zipper for easy application.
• Safety and ease of use: The mixing of the resin and hardener (stored in flexible airtight packaging) is done without a machine. The chemical reaction takes place entirely inside the pocket: there is therefore no risk of skin contact, inhalation, or industrial waste.

• Material safety: All textile components and materials are OEKO-TEX® certified, guaranteeing the absence of harmful substances.
• Professional pouring kit: Dedicated accessories (ring, magnifier, and forceps) can keep the orthosis open during pouring. The roller (available in two sizes) is used to evenly distribute the resin inside (can be ordered separately).
• Availability: The base textile product is available in 4 standard sizes (XS, S, M, and L) before customization.
