CLEAR SIL is a two-component silicone elastomer (polyvinylsiloxane) formulated for the manufacture of precision transparent templates and masks in dental technology. It cures at room temperature by polyaddition and is classified UNI EN 4823 cat. A Type 2 (medium viscosity).

Description

• Two-component silicone elastomer (polyvinylsiloxane) cured at room temperature by polyaddition for precision masks in dental technology.

Processing

• Remove the cap from the cartridge and apply the mixing tip (see packaging), then insert the cartridge into the dispenser at a ratio of 1:1.
• Dosing of base and hardener in a 1:1 ratio (volume or weight) and mixing is done automatically by pushing the two components through the mixing tip.
• Extrusion must be even and continuous until product completion; the mixing tip acts as a stopper until the next processing step. Use a new tip for each application.
• Processing time: 1 minute.
• Cure time: 15 minutes (time calculated at 23°C / 73°F). Higher temperatures accelerate polymerisation; lower temperatures slow it down.

• Standard pack: 2 x 50 ml cartridges + 10 mixer tips
• Single parts available: mixer pack 50 pcs, 1:1 dispenser available separately

Warnings

• The mixing tip acts as a stopper until the next processing step; use a new tip for each application.
• Substances containing heavy metal salts, hydrocarbons, epoxy resin catalysts, amines, sulphur and derivatives may inhibit polymerisation.
• Storage: 12–28°C / 54–82°F.
• The product is developed for dental use and must be used according to the instructions; the user must verify suitability for intended uses not described in the instructions.
