Description

The Cell Counter model R1 automated cell counter is designed to reduce workloads and to standardize the cell counting process. Its unique software algorithm recognizes small cells < 8μm including peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and nerve cells differentiated and induced from iPS cells. It automatically recognizes and counts individual cells even in clustered cells, performs size- and shape-based sorting, and identifies live/dead cells. This portable instrument equipped with user-friendly touchscreen provides reliable result throughout the cell culture workflow and accelerates the cell culture process. Accurate Counting Even with Clustered Cells Since cells are properly identified regardless of whether they are single or clustered, live or dead, the number of cells can be accurately counted with almost the same accuracy as counting with the human eye. Cell Size-Based Gates for Excluding Undesired Particles The average size of the cells varies depending on cell type. The maximum and minimum cell size can be adjusted to correctly detect the desired cells. Accurate Counting Even with Small Cells Live Cell Sensitivity function enables optimization of the recognition rate for small cells < 8μm, which was previously difficult to achieve. Individual Protocol Setting for Routine Procedures Each detection parameter can be modified to fit the sample conditions. Up to 300 specific protocols can be easily saved and reloaded, which helps to obtain quick counting results for routine procedures.
