PediStirrup represents the exclusive device designed for safe and flexible lithotomy positioning of babies (starting with newborn) and children with body lengths up to 1.40 meters. P.M.A. Broens MD PhD (paediatric surgeon) invented the PediStirrup. Together with IMDS (NL) the PediStirrup has been developed to its present form. The PediStirrup has been thoroughly tested by the Paediatric Surgical Department of the University Medical Center Groningen. In May 2020 the rights for PediStirrup was taken over by Opitek International, with full responsibility for sales, production, service, repairs, spare parts and the compliance with MDR (Class 1 medical device).
