Description

OrHal® is an innovative inhalation mask for valved holding chamber designed to promote oral inhalation for young children. OrHal® is designed and manufactured 100 % in France. Thanks to a flexible partition between the nose and the mouth, OrHal® prevents nasal inhalation and promotes oral inhalation for children from the age of 1 year. Did you know ? Inhaled treatments are particulary suitable for the treatment of pulmonary disorders like asthma, bronchiolitis and respiratory failures. They allow you to deliver the medicine locally, where it is needed, minimizing the effects in the full body. Puffers (pMDI, pressurized metered dose inhaler) are the devices considered the most relevant for children. However, handling needs some attention and several barriers to their full efficiency exist. Technical specifications of the OrHal® mask OrHal® is the first partitioned pediatric inhalation mask that isolates the nose and prevents nasal inhalation of over 1 year-old children. OrHal® partitioned mask offers essential benefits to young patients and their relatives. OrHal® promotes oral inhalation for children from 1 year-old. From 12 months old, the nose gradually becomes efficient as a filter against the inhalation of foreign particles thanks to the ciliary system and nasal mucus. To ensure a good treatment, it is essential that the inhalation is done through the mouth. Thanks to its flexible and airtight partition between the nose and the mouth, OrHal® avoids nasal inhalation in favor of oral inhalation and allows a better pulmonary deposition of the drug.
