A rotation unit integrated in the lower joint section permits rotation of the prosthetic foot with automatic return upon load relief. Combined with the large flexion angle of approx. 165°, this enables a comfortable 'kneeling position' as well as crouching with the foot rotated to the outside.
Individually adjustable knee safety thanks to adjustable stop
Individually adjustable extension assist mechanism to control the swing phase
Not suitable for hip disarticulate fittings

The 3R66 Modular Polycentric Knee Joint is made of aluminum. Its main components are –• upper joint section with pyramid• mid-joint section with adjustable stop• lower joint section with extension assist mechanism and clamp shell for tube adapter and integrated rotation unit. The sections are connected to each other by four axes and two polycentric linkage bars*.This polycentric joint provides a rotational and translational movement and a shifting of its center of rotation during flexion and extension. In the extended position the center of rotation (instanta-neous center of rotation) is placed above the pyramid and behind the weight bearing line, thus providing greater knee stability during stance phase.
