Description

Product overview
The OPTEO intraoral sensor is a next‑generation dental imaging sensor engineered for high‑resolution intraoral radiography. It provides instant image rendering via direct USB connection and is available in multiple sizes to adapt to patient morphology.

Clinical applications
  • Endodontics: enhanced visualization for root canal treatment planning and verification.
  • Periodontics: early detection and monitoring of periodontal lesions.
  • Implant and prosthetic surgery: imaging for planning, placement verification and follow‑up.
  • Caries diagnosis: detection of early interproximal and occlusal lesions.

Key benefits
  • Immediate image availability for faster diagnostics and decision making.
  • Support for low‑dose exposures while maintaining diagnostic detail.
  • Ultra‑slim design for improved patient comfort and reduced gag reflex.
  • IP68 waterproofing enabling immersion in sterilizable liquids.
  • Compatibility with common dental practice management and imaging software.

Core technologies and image quality
The OPTEO sensor delivers Ultra HD imaging with 18.5 µm pixel pitch and up to 27 lp/mm spatial resolution. It integrates HD CsI:Tl scintillators, WDR technology for balanced exposure handling, a proprietary sharpness enhancement algorithm optimized for periapical radiography, and Always On readiness for instant capture.

Design and durability
Multilayer construction with integrated elastic shock‑absorbing layers protects the sensor from drops and pressure. FOP (fiber optic plate) implementation and low‑power design extend operational lifetime and reduce residual X‑ray effects. The sensor measures approximately 6 mm in thickness and is rated IP68 for full waterproofing.

Sizes and ergonomics
  • Available sizes: 1 / 1.5 / 2 to fit a range of patient anatomies.
  • Size 1.5 active area: 24 x 33 mm with WSA (Wide Sensitive Area) enabling horizontal bitewing imaging.
  • Ultra‑slim profile improves insertion comfort and image positioning.

Workflow and integration
Direct USB support and automatic exposure rendering simplify installation and daily use. OPTEO integrates with most dental practice management systems and imaging software and is compatible with QuickVision for acquisition, viewing, enhancement, measurement and annotation.
