PINGSENG has launched the first commercial small-animal PET/CT equipment in China, with all intellectual property rights of the product. This product is highly commercialized with excellent performance to fill the China market with a domestic product. By use of in-vivo functional and anatomical imaging on mice, rats, rabbits, and other small to mid-size animals, one can acquire data and derive information revealing animal's metabolism and pharmaceutical bio-distribution, which can provide advanced technical support for research in the fields of oncology, neurology, cardiovascular disease, genetics, and pre-clinical drug development. By new detection technique, it can achieve higher spatial resolution (<1.0 mm) than conventional PMT detectors, and significantly improves the image quality of the PET.
