Fixation strap Pinel®

Overview
The Pinel® design allows one system to meet restraint needs across acute and non‑acute settings. In emergency situations an aggressive patient can be secured to a seven‑point restraint level in approximately 10 seconds and subsequently reduced to a single‑point restraint as the patient calms. For less acute needs, patients can be secured with mobility within the bed or chair to a level that is minimally perceptible to them. The system is suitable for use within and during transport between institutions such as long‑term care, emergency departments, psychiatric units, intensive care and correctional facilities.

Locking system
Each Pinel® fixation includes an axis + bolt locking mechanism that can block up to four straps together. The lock engages quickly and is released by inserting the magnetic key into the bolt. The design facilitates rapid application and controlled release by trained personnel.
