Description

Short description
Ultrasonic atomizer designed for equine inhalation therapy, producing aerosol particles in the 0.5–5 μm range.

What's included
  • PRIZMA PROFI SONIC A ultrasonic atomizer
  • Hose (90 cm)
  • Equine mask
  • 3 solution cups (one pre-installed)
  • Bottle for continuous solution addition
  • AC power cord
  • DC power cord
  • Instruction manual

Equine inhalation
  • Individual continuous inhalation with or without mask
  • Inhalation is also possible in a horse trailer or stable compartment

Benefits of inhalation therapies
The inhalation therapy plays a central role in treating equine respiratory diseases. It delivers aerosolized medication directly to the target organ, enabling rapid local action. Therapeutic efficacy depends on correct diagnosis, drug selection and inhalation method. The ultrasonic atomizer produces an aerosol with particle sizes between 0.5 and 5 μm, promoting deep lung deposition and prolonged residence time.

When to be used
Used for conditions such as recurrent airway obstruction (heaves), inflammatory airway disease, seasonal coughs and post-race lung recovery. Common inhaled medications include bronchodilators. Inhalation may be administered with or without a mask according to veterinary prescription.

Two methods of application
  • Directly coupled to an equine mask — effective therapy with minimal aerosol loss
  • In a dedicated cabin or horse trailer using the hose to introduce aerosol into the space
