Overview
The UR ultrasonic bath series includes three sizes for the rapid cleaning of test sieves and grinding tools. UR 1 accepts test sieves up to 203 mm dia., UR 2 up to 450 mm dia., and UR 3 allows simultaneous cleaning of up to five 200/203 mm test sieves. Ultrasonic cleaning reduces handling damage compared with manual cleaning and can extend sieve service life.

Functional principle
A high-frequency generator in the bath produces approximately 35 kHz oscillations that are transmitted into the cleaning solution and induce cavitation. Microscopic vacuum bubbles form and collapse within microseconds due to pressure changes. The resulting pulses remove contaminant particles from deep or hard-to-reach areas and promote homogenisation, dispersion and degassing.
