Description

Product Overview
The new distal angled forceps have been especially adapted to the needs of today's interventional bronchoscopy and are available in three different jaw sections. These forceps were designed as accessories for use with the optically integrated TEXAS tracheo-bronchoscope. This enables easy work with constant optical view.
In addition, for all three models the sheath can be rotated 360°.

Thus a complete, multifunctional instrument is offered with which the user himself can adjust the opening angle of the forceps to the given requirements.
The handle of this new product family has been especially designed for high force application and fatigue-free ergonomics. The control lever for distal deflection is easily interchangeable and thus it is equally suitable for right-handed and left-handed users.

The advantages at a glance
  • Available in three different, special jaw types
  • Distal articulation of the jaws
  • 360° positioning of the jaws through sheath rotation
  • Jaws can be locked shut for easier operation
  • Effective and easier removal of stents with the scissors
  • For use with the TEXAS and Hemer tracheo-bronchoscopes
  • Fatigue-free handling through ergonomically-shaped handles
  • Optimal reprocessing through integrated Luer lock connectors

Functionalities
  • Ablate: With the articulating biopsy forceps it is possible to remove tissue from hard-to-reach areas of the trachea or in the main bronchi.
  • Grasp: The grasping forceps features a powerful, single-action, serrated jaw section that can be used not only for removing foreign bodies or stents, but also primarily for repositioning silicone, Nitinol, tracheal or bifurcation stents.
  • Cut: The one-of-a-kind scissors that can be articulated distally offer totally new perspectives for the removal of Nitinol stents. For the first time, the mesh of an in-grown or broken stent can be easily targeted and cut-through.

Additional Features
  • All three TipControl models are characterized by a jaw section that can be articulated 54° in the distal direction, enabling the user to effortlessly reach difficult to access areas in rigid bronchoscopy.
  • The TipControl handle was designed especially for high application of force and fatigue-free ergonomics, preventing painful pressure points on the fingers with prolonged use and greater application of force.
  • The control lever for distal articulation is easily interchangeable and thus equally suitable for right-handed and left-handed users.
