A companion to the CoaguCheck systems used by professionals is the CoaguCheck XS system, developed specifically for use by the patient who is on a vitamin K antagonistic therapy program. The CoaguCheck XS can measure the patient's PT/INR values both at home and while away from home. The system is easy to use and can provide a precise reading from a drop of blood in less than a minute, and in doing so reducing the number of visits to the doctors office that might otherwise be required.
