post-operative autotransfusion system
The HAEM-o-TRANS postoperative autotransfusion system is a closed low-vacuum system which is utilized for the collection and retransfusion of wound and drainage blood. The system is ideally utilized in arthroplastic procedures in hip and knee surgery. The HAEM-o-TRANS postoperative autotransfusion system is easy to operate and economical to use. The erythrocytes remain fully operable due to the low-vacuum system and there is a rapid availability of the re-transfusion blood.
There is an initial suction of 70 mmHg followed by gravity. A one-way valves prevents any retrograde infections. Only the blood collection bag needs to be replaced rather than exchanging the entire system. Throughout the duration of the drainage, the blood, cell residues and section are being drained.
