OverviewElectronic labels display key information that is traditionally printed on paper labels or stickers for pharmaceutical and warehouse products. They replace traditional labels to support more efficient product and stock management. The labels include an integrated button allowing departments to forward replenishment requests directly to the central pharmacy or warehouse with a single action, removing manual tasks such as turning inserts or individually scanning stock items.
Power and updatesThe electronic labels run on easily replaceable batteries with up to a 10-year lifespan. They receive all updates wirelessly via a dedicated gateway controlled from a central management system, enabling reliable, fast and simple day-to-day operation.
Integrated buttonWith the Push-to-Order solution, a user can send a replenishment request at the touch of a button on the electronic label. The labels communicate via Wi‑Fi with specialised wireless gateways connected to the network. Replenishment requests are automatically forwarded to the central pharmacy or warehouse and integrated into the institution's ERP or WMS for further stock processing without manual intervention. Once restocked, logistics staff confirm completion by pressing the button again, ensuring reliable monitoring and full traceability of the restocking process in real time.
Optimised two-way communicationThe Push-to-Order software supports two-way communication: it sends requests from departments to central points and can also feed information from central pharmacy/warehouse systems back to the labels. Staff are automatically informed in real time of product-related events such as out-of-stock, dosage adjustments, recalls and substitutions, improving response times and reducing errors.
Electronic label for smarter Kanban stock managementWithin the Kanban system, items are distributed across two locations, each with its own electronic label. When the active location (identified by a yellow background) runs out of stock, pressing the integrated button triggers the restocking procedure and the second location becomes the new active location. The system supports submitting replenishment requests in 'normal' or 'urgent' mode for responsive inventory handling.
Dynamic displayThe dynamic display automatically adjusts font size based on the number of characters entered. The electronic label supports four colours, enabling compliance with European regulations on medicinal product labelling and clear visual signalling of status or priority.
Temperature monitoringEmbedded sensors enable continuous room temperature measurement with an accuracy of ±1 °C. Based on measurements, the system can automatically trigger warnings or alarms when temperature thresholds are exceeded, enabling environmental monitoring and timely response.
Robust and hygienic designCertified to IP68 and featuring a smooth, fully sealed surface, the electronic labels provide high hygiene levels. Spills, water or condensation in cold rooms can be wiped away easily. The labels attach to baskets and modules via robust exclusive label holders for quick installation and reliable operation even if bumped by trolleys or equipment.
A sound investmentBy eliminating repetitive manual tasks (turning inserts, individual scanning, printing batches of labels), Push-to-Order optimises processes and boosts productivity. Labels only consume battery power when the button is pressed, contributing to energy efficiency and extended battery life of up to 10 years.
