Contraceptives pose a distinct challenge to vision systems due to their small size and often, diff erent products, ordered by intake week, are placed in one blister. Utlilising SPECTRA High Resolution with its designated algorithms enables secure quality control for these products. For high accuracy even with large foil widths, scanware uses multiple camera systems with 3CMOS cameras. To cancel colour aberrations caused by camera heat, a water-cooling system is installed with the cameras. To outbalance colour disparities due to camera tolerances, the system operates with separate colour informations for each camera. The high-resolution blister inspection system detects the smallest differences in shape and colour and can also inspect all blister geometries. With the use of multi-camera systems, the most demanding inspection tasks are no challenge for scanware. The application is suitable for post-seal inspection. With resolutions of 12, 5 or 12 megapixels and the use of 3CMOS cameras, outstanding colour separation performance is guaranteed.
