1111-400 Scissors, curved 11,5cm SuperCut Verpackungseinheit: 1 piece Generally, it is important for all instruments to put them softly down and not to throw them! All hinge instruments have to be cleaned and sterilized in open position! Do not close them! This is very important for scissors. If they are closed, the instruments' tips are under contact pressure. In the scissors' construction, while hardening, the scissor blades are bent against each other and twisted around. So when assembly is finished, only the blades have contact at the intersection point. Due to the warming during sterilization, the scissors steel stretches. During this process, the contact pressure on the tips of the scissors is rising. If the scissors are open, this will not happen! Especially surgical scissors have very fine tips, and stress cracks can occur in closed position. Such cracks can even be in the micro range, so that the instruments will only break under strain! When cleaning, it is always important for all instruments to put them softly down and not to throw them! Falling down, cutting something for which the scissors are inappropriate, and mechanical stress when the scissors are in contact with other instruments can lead to hairline cracks. Different concentrations of chlorides are always found in drinking water. They cannot be eliminated by a water softening process. When water dries, chlorides will concentrate and cause pitting corrosion on the surface. In order to avoid this, the final rinsing step should be carried out with completely desalinated (demineralized) water. The pitting corrosion primarily leads to breaks on the tips!
